LG KS360 Phones
We all are aware of how mobile evolved from the just ‘phone’ to the multimedia device that it is now. With the smart phone on to the market and some great innovations from the research and development of the leading mobile manufacturers, soon computer may see the end of the tunnel.
LG KS360 draws heavy influence from the smart phones right from the word go. But, this isn’t an aloof product like most of the smart phones ( or at least they are assumed to be). Some of the premium features of smart phones are sacrificed by the designing brains of LG, to come out with a product that suits the mass market. So, it’s like a not so costly smart phone (just can’t call it cheap!).
The first signs of smartphones are clearly visible in the form of the sliding QWERTY keypad. QWERTY keypad is actually a good option. Yes, it consumes some extra space, but at the end of the day seems worth because your typing becomes much faster and your nailtips may seem less eaten-by the mouse. If this is impressive, then there’s a lot more unimpressive points. There are a lot of areas where this phone lacks behind the current trends. Some mistakes are simply unforgivable. There’s no 3G connectivity. There’s no Wi-fi, GPS . The camera of this Mobile Phone has no autofocus! There isn’t sufficient memory space onboard either. The one question that props up in the mind by having at the specifications is that- Are the designers dwelling in a different world?
Perhaps, the only answer that the designers can come up with is that KS360 is custom designed for a certain sect of the audience in the mass market. Maybe, this is a mobile phone for those who would just show-off Mobile Phones in a friend’s party, call home, e-mail and chat heavily and that’s it! Being positive here; its an extremely focused handset. But the botttomline still hurts- LG KS360 misses out on some key areas, which the eyes of the buyers are always on a look out.
Now for the good points of this mobile phone. Its stylish and is light weighted at around 106g. The overall outlook of the phone is quite along par with the current hot smart phones in the market like the windows mobile. The keypad should be the selling point of the LG KS360. The experience with the keypad is rejoicing and can be rated equally or better than the blackberry. Some smart work; like the soft keys, the Fn keys etc along with the aptly spaced keys is sure to impress any user. The camera being a two mega pixel one fares good, although wihout an auto focus. Bluetooth V2.0, instant messenger and a microSD card slot of up to 4GB makes life easier ( it would really be a tough time with KS 360 otherwise!).
One last say; if you are one among the ‘target group’ of LG KS 360 that is, you aren’t an avid multimedia user and are just happy with a smart phone like mobile for a much cheaper rate with some basic and ‘above basic’ features, then do think of KS 360 as one of the options.
